Can we un-invent music streaming as a concept?
Soundcloud is such an important cultural hoard and platform that it needs non-profit public ownership to ensure long-term, sustainable survival given the financial problems it hits every few years
The delicate balance to stay sane between burying-head-in-the-sand vs. the emotional toil of the current UK political situation is so tiring and debilitating. If anyone has any tips to cope i'm all ears!
I rarely post music, but this song is an absolute ambient masterpiece

YouTubeSomehow it doesn’t feel right to use UE4 while Epic are sitting around making millions from uncredited black musicians. The Marshmello concert is an extra helping of tragedy on top. Am I missing the wider backlash or are people just not condemning this?
It makes me so angry that Bristol is being ruined by gentrification, the housing market and capitalism propping it up can get into the sea
Why do video games not have an equivalent 'alt' press scene like music does? I am literally unable to keep up with the sheer quantity of good writing and links for niche music, yet I'm starved for anything in games past press releases and reviews for the latest overly-expensive, crunch-driven AAA?
The council has a cool scheme where you borrow a bike for a month to see if it's something you want to do, but the lack of decent cycle paths across most of the city is kind of a deal breaker for many
I can commute from Bristol to Bath, a whopping 50km a day, only because of the superb cycle path in place. It only exists because it used to be a railway. Sadly this sort of bold planning isn't and wouldn't be done under current circumstances.
