YouTubeLook, I friggin' love DOOM, but I'm coming to realize that SPEAR OF DESTINY might have been peak id Software
Great artists steal. Or something
Finally rolled credits on the SILENT HILL 2 remake last night. Yeah, that's gonna be a 10/10 from me, dawg. Took my time investigating every nook and cranny, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't have to take a couple of days to recover after the entire prison and labyrinth sections. Thrilled to hear that Bloober Team are open to making further remakes (and even brand new SH games) 🙏 Now to get that UFO ending 🛸
Visual Kei is a whole new world to me – what are some other bands I should check out? I know X JAPAN and GACKT 🤷♂️
KYO APPRECIATION POST: I guess I should have listened to people who told me to listen to DIR EN GREY back in high school... how are these guys not one of the biggest bands in metal? This guy's vocal range and style are insane!
@inpurpleshadows yeah! This is upscaled, but it's a gorgeous game considering the hardware it's running on. Highly recommend trying it out if you love SH2
Keiichiro Toyama's research and knowledge of occult themes and symbolism is probably the best that's ever been put into a game of its size and scope. Akira Yamaoka's score is also one of his best, and considerably more industrial than the rest of the series.
I really hope the original SILENT HILL gets the remake treatment next. It seems more likely that they'll jump straight to SH3, but there are so many folks who are newer fans of the series and haven't played it. Truly one of the best-looking and creepiest games of the PS1 generation.
Scariest AAA game I've ever played. Easily. Wear headphones and say your prayers 🙏
