My cable company has had our city in a stranglehold for years, and it's pretty funny how desperate they are now that they have real competition.
I was paying $105/mo for 1Gb/30Mb. New company rolls in and offers me symmetric 1Gb for $50. Got it installed and called my cable company to cancel.
Now, I expected them to offer a discount to keep me on, but holy crap they must be hemorrhaging customers because they offered to reduce my bill to $30/mo with no change to service 😂
