plugged it in there last night as it was on 2% battery, I needed to do some things before midnight, the cable was just there as I used it for my phone, and I didn't really have time to go looking for the proper charger

it did seem to keep it from depleting the battery in use, just about, which says a lot about the efficiency

read about this case of a young carer who was repeatedly told by the DWP’s agent that earnings from a work scheme they put her on wouldn’t breach the earnings limit or otherwise affect her carers allowance, after she asked multiple times — and yet now they’re chasing her for £2000 of overpayments

it’s utterly appalling

i can only assume there’s law that excludes the concept of estoppel from anything relating to benefits???

iOS ‘26’ thoughts: having installed the beta on my old iPhone 12 mini, this is the closest i’ve felt to having a little computer in my hand in a long time

the new UI bits, with better menus, buttons and things which all get out of the way …

just a shame about the code signing, hey

and imagine! if they made normal sized (mini) phones again
