Time for a new pinned post, I guess:

Hi! I'm Jen, I love to read and write and you can find me almost everywhere @etoiline. I'm obsessed with the Jedi Survivor video game and write fanfic about it. I science for my day job, and one of my favorite podcasts ever is Criminal no. 15, "He's Neutral." https://open.spotify.com/episode/0uPKZrTK0rbIGRp180PUYT?si=f339b65932de48db

I wish I worked with folks who appreciate it when I wear pop-culture t-shirts on their appropriate days. Maybe you'll appreciate that I'm wearing a Baby Groot-Van Gogh's Starry Night mashup shirt on the release date of Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3. #GotGvol3
Grabbed a duo-cup of strawberry milk and taro boba tea at the farmer's market today 🍓 A different vendor wished me Happy Star Wars day (I'm wearing my Rogue One shirt) and I was able to reply with May the Fourth Be With You and he said And Also With You and I'm just having a geeky moment rn.

I learned today that 5 of my books are among the more than 1600 books banned in some schools right now.

I could do a study on how many times people use the bathroom across from the lab I'm currently working in, even without looking, because the door slams every time someone goes in.

(You may be able to tell that I'm not exactly digging this new protocol I have to learn.)

One overhead light in my corner of the lab went out yesterday and I'm honestly surprised at how much darker it seems while I'm at my desk.
It's pretty depressing, tbh, especially today when it's been dreary since the morning and hasn't gotten any better as the evening comes on.
There's plenty of light still, but there's just something about the quality of it that is just messing with my whole mood. #LifeInTheLab
Alas, I received no votes for my turkey quinoa chili at the work chili cookoff. Oh well. More leftovers for us, then.

I never really got into Wordle, but I enjoy Murdle. Reminds me of the frustrating word puzzles we'd get in gifted class in middle school. I have to write out all the clues but I eventually figure things out...

MURDLE: Daily mystery puzzles by G. T. Karber

Solve a new murder mystery every day!

I'm surprisingly excited about our new soccer team's home opener tomorrow. I can't watch it because I don't have AppleTV, but I'll turn on the radio and follow along old school :) I never got into soccer as a kid, and I still can't tell you what offsides means (despite that scene in Bend It Like Beckham), but this is a big deal for St. Louis and I'm here for it.
I keep putting off playing the Gemini mission of #HorizonForbiddenWest and I tell myself it’s because I don’t have time for the full mission, but here I am on a Sunday with the #PS5 to myself and I’m still avoiding it. I’ve completed the game once already, and I realized I probably don’t want to move forward with the main story because of the spoiler that happens during this mission. But I want to complete a second playthrough before the DLC comes out…choices, choices.
