I am a mother of two daughters, grammie of three, catmom to two, married over 40 years to one; retired from California State University, Stanislaus. I am from Ohio, left there when I was 20, progressed westward via Indiana, Nebraska, Colorado, and now California. My dad was from Kentucky so I grew up with Appalachian foods and way of life. I'm southern once removed.
