I am not interested in the art, heritage, decorative style books.

I am casting this into the mastodonosphere with an interest in networking and creating a machine/skill exchange.

There are for example specialized printers required for cover printing and specialized skills required for #typesetting using LaTeX.

I have time on my hands and a modest interest in family history evolved to an ongoing interest in #publishing and #bookbinding.

I am finding that #opensource and #diy combined with a little practice and simple household tools can actually produce credible results.

#LaTeX and #perfectbinding are my keys to publishing physical books in modest quantities and qualities. I am now turning out modest family histories, personal journals, reprinting out of print/copyright histories.
