Even at the Women’s March there were cops everywhere, and it felt like things could go really wrong. And I don’t think we need to recap how the huge police presence at the WTO worked out.
I have to say, I’m legitimately very impressed with how SPD handled the march today. The cops were almost invisible, but there were plainclothes bike cops keeping an eye on things. And they’d posted up ambulances and fire along the route.
Nobody got provoked, everything went smooth.
