My 2022 #Bandcamp purchases. My favorites have to be Collide With The Sky and Talon of the Hawk, because deep down I love emo college boy music. 🤷‍♀️

The cloud cover over Lake Michigan is unreal.

When I say these clouds were the perfect balls of pillowy cotton right up through the moment we descended through them, I'm not exaggerating. They were exactly like a little kid would expect a cloud to look like up close: a big ball of tangible fluff.

According to descriptions of the books, the illustrations are mostly sourced from book covers, which makes sense. It makes me wonder exactly how much of the "encyclopedia" entries were written to accommodate art that the author had already decided to use. Regardless, the pictures are what 7yo me obsessed over, and they're pretty. 🌠
When I was in elementary school, my library had this book which I obsessed over for years. I finally decided to look up the name (easiest web search ever). Unbeknownst to me at age 7, Terran Trade Authority is a scifi setting published 1978-1980, told in future history encyclopedias, like this one. Anyways, I bought it for old time's sake, and I 100% do not regret my purchase.
