President Biden crushed it tonight. The speech was strong, candid, and exactly what our nation needed to hear. I’m so proud of his forthright address. Was it political? Show me a State of the Union that wasn’t political. Was it fair and necessary? Absolutely. Joe Biden is unquestionably the best candidate to lead our country for the next four years. Great job, Mr. President.

This election ends with voters saying loudly and clearly that they want Salt Lake City to keep moving forward together. Salt Lakers aren’t afraid of our incredible future — we’re excited by it. This election was a repudiation of cynicism and a rejection of the politics of fear.

Salt Lake City needs more housing of all types, but especially "affordable," sub-market housing. Since becoming mayor, I have increased the number of affordable units invested-in by the city by 413 percent, adding up to 4000 units with a $55 million investment. My approach has been effective and efficient, and I'm committed to adding even more if re-elected.
