Yes, we should work very hard to change the system, but here's to all the every day heroes, forced inside the system, that still work to make people's lives easier and better!
@bourgwick a strong episode about a weak song (sorry Barlow) and so much more. Europe 74 looms large in my family’s deadogy bcs Munich was my big bro’s first show.

Great to hear Uli Teute on the #GoodOlGratefulDeadcast! I met Uli for the first and only time somewhere in the Black Forest in the fall or winter of 1981. During a nice long hang, he made a live Primal Dead mixtape for me, which I still have. His tune choices were impeccable — especially a raging Caution jam from 68 — with the possible exception of It’s a Man’s World. Thanks Uli! Pretty sure that was you.

Here’s my clean tone.
@bourgwick Spotify: We’re always evaluating how we can best serve emerging artists, and what better way than to demonetize them!
@bourgwick that Belushi Nassau story is one of the best things I’ve heard on the @deadcast! Giants walked among us.

I worked maximum #GratefulDead content into this review of Alan Paul’s new book about the 1973 resurrection of the #AllmanBrothersBand. It’s part of my plan to bring about world peace by getting everybody everywhere to listen to the Watkins Glen Soundcheck Jam at the exact same time. #Music

How The Allman Brothers Went From Disaster To Stadium Kings

Fifty years ago today the Allman Brothers Band headlined a festival bigger than Woodstock — the Summer Jam at Watkins Glen — alongside the Grateful Dead and the Band. A new book by Alan Paul tells the story of that time.

i'm plenty familiar with this 1961 jim marshall photo of #BobDylan & dave van ronk & their partners walking in #nyc, but only just learned that karen dalton is usually cropped out of the left side. KD would've been 76 today. #folk
