Hex bugs and rickroll. Webdesigner who likes to think he can code
@Alice this is both funny and unfair. I don’t know what to do. Merry Christmas

A nine-month investigation undertaken by the Guardian, Die Zeit and SourceMaterial found that 90% of rainforest offsets from the world's biggest provider are worthless "phantom credits". Bought by the likes of Disney, Shell, easyJet and Gucci, it seems they may even do more harm to our environment than good.

Videos taken by residents in Peru showed forced evictions, and their homes cut down with chainsaws for an offset project.

Revealed: more than 90% of rainforest carbon offsets by biggest certifier are worthless, analysis shows

Investigation into Verra carbon standard finds most are ‘phantom credits’ and may worsen global heating

@stephaniewalter Sweet memories. Sometimes when I'm nostalgic I close my browser and surf only on the 'gemini' protocol. Not the same thing but the closest I've found.
@anatudor There's a new version of the contrast section coming in the WCAG and they will ditch this algorithm ( probably for something like APCA : https://www.myndex.com/APCA/ ) so maybe you'll have more chance tweaking your colors and validating using the APCA algorithm.

@hunter 😀 I'm doing that at this moment : Seems easy : run ./configure, realize you're missing a dependency, download the dependency, then the compiler tells you it's the wrong version of the dependency. Now I hope it'll be finished before 2023

On Mastodon, there's two groups of people:

1. Those who want to recreate Twitter
2. Those who want to bury Twitter, then pave over its grave

I'm of the second group.

@codeguy Thanks TIL too. I was using a border-bottom with some padding for text-underline-offset.
The next version of Chrome will include #css trigonometric functions ( sin(), cos(), tan(), asin(), acos(), atan(), atan2() ) https://chromestatus.com/feature/5165381072191488

@rachelnabors Do you still believe in rich experiences for the web ? I mean everyone seems to be happy with Bootstrap and Tailwind. Where to find creativity in the web today ? Is creativity still important on the web or did it move elsewhere ?
@rachelnabors Do you miss Flash ?
