MacOS 27 Golden Gate Removes the Dumb Icons From Menu Items
This is my favorite news from all of WWDC this week. I mean that. In a small way I mean it because I so loathe this aspect of MacOS Tahoe. But in a large way I mean it because it’s proof that the rot has been rooted out of Apple’s software design team.
Bleh. iOS 27 beta STILL has the music app tab bar controls disappearing until you swipe or tap on the bottom left icon. The ONE annoyance I wanted them to fix the most and they didn’t. At least Pokemon Go runs.

First post from Indigo. I can finally say I have one app for Bluesky and Mastodon that does everything I need across my Mac, iPad, and iPhone!
Finally getting around to testing out transcripts in Overcast and it’s incredible. Great excuse to re-listen to old ATP episodes that pre-date chapters being added and just jump to the parts I want to hear their takes on. @marcoarment I appreciate you making this a built in, free feature (as you said, it’s tablestakes for accessibility) but you should raise price of premium another $5 next year because the implementation is perfect.
