Quick update.

The Preservation path is just so much fun.
This is what resulted in a 890K Preservation Echo. Yeah. Literally more than 890000 (a shame that I didn’t manage to screenshot the spectacular scene on the damage counter, so I didn’t remember the last digits).

For those who don’t play HSR, this basically means that the character is equipped with a shield which covers the damage of more than 8 times the character’s full HP.

miHoYo clearly underestimated the capabilities of a Lv. 70 Gepard equipped with 4495 DEF and boosted by a total of 21 Preservation blessings from choosing the Preservation path when doing the Swarm Disaster.

Holy cows Collapse is such a good-looking game launcher for miHoYo/HoYoverse games including Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. Found it on GitHub like just yesterday and have said permanent goodbyes to the official launchers already. It basically supports almost everything the official ones do but is soooooooooo much prettier and more comfortable on high definition screens.

Yeah why not. I’ve gotten used to getting missions this nonsensically since I was a “Traveler” instead of a “Trailblazer”.

Finally, kind of the most important part in any rhythm game, the storytelling. This game’s lore is basically just another Arknights without many battles along the way. And it forces you to watch the lore like Arknights does as well. But generally speaking, at least it isn’t so obscure as Arcaea’s lore, and it isn’t so unrelated(!) as most of Phigros’s lore either. It’s kind of a pleasure to challenge yourself to difficult charts between scenes of stories that are connected seamlessly. (3/3)
Then let’s talk about the UI/UX where things get even more interesting. I’d bet the UI design took inspiration from Arknights and Phigros. What’s worth noting is that transitions are unexpectedly smooth and quick, as compared to Arcaea, Phigros and the worst of all — Cytus II. The production team must’ve done a lot to enhance the experience to avoid lagging and glitching and their efforts definitely paid off. (2/3)
I downloaded #ParadigmReboot yesterday and got my hands on it for a couple of hours. To be honest, not only have they obtained quite a few tracks from the Phigros and Rizline collaborations, the game mechanics also feel somewhat like a combination of Dynamix, Arcaea and Dance Rail 3, which makes it terrifically challenging for some charts to be sightread. Also, why does anybody need to calibrate visuals and audio separately? (1/3)
