The cool thing about "Every App is actually just a browser, and we're all using Chromium" is that now critical, actively exploited vulnerabilities like that WebP CVE-2023-4863 apply to dozens of software components that your inventory doesn't know are effected.

⚠️ PSA for @broadcastsapp users; it looks like iCloud Private Relay in the latest (iOS 16/17) versions of iOS/macOS introduces periodic stalling issues to streaming audio apps that use the system audio engine, like Broadcasts, Triode, and Apple apps like Safari. This manifests as playback stopping after 5 minutes. Initial testing suggests disabling iCloud Private Relay may fix the issue, until Apple tweaks something their side. Let us know if that does it for you!

The money earned from the App Store was about half of what we were earning from products sold on our website.

It only took the App Store another three quarters to surpass that amount. And a year after that, it was double the amount of our own web store.

The trend was clear.

Today, we only sell one product on our website, and that’s mainly because of volume licensing which the App Store can't handle.

Matte black MacBook again referenced in an Apple patent

Back in 2020, we saw an Apple patent for a matte black MacBook, with the company explaining at the time...

It started with me opting not to keep smart lights when I moved. I found the routine of pressing physical switches more rewarding than the tap of a touch screen. I've since gotten into vinyl, and film photography. I still stream music, and I still take photos with my iPhone when it's more convenient, but I find the physicality of analog devices uniquely rewarding.

How about:

- Deprecated: No updates
- Depreciated: Security updates only

The solution to this, of course, is for Apple to accept submissions for ANY PLATFORM with the latest Xcode as soon as ANY PLATFORM needs the latest version.

With so many APIs and improvements being available across platforms, restricting distribution hurts everyone (customers, Apple, and us developers).
