We got a new game announcement so here is my obligatory Hot Pokemon Take: I'm glad we're skipping over Gen 5. BW1 were good enough, the story in BW2 just killed my enthusiasm for it.
BW1 had its share of stupidity to be sure but it was left to the side for the most part (getting railroaded into Pokemon Dress-up aside, good lord that should not be said unironically by anyone over 10)
Just BW2 for me was one of the first times in a game I thought "and why should I care about this?". Hugh, I don't give a flying fuck about your sister's Purrloin or your edgelord catchphrase, fuck the Shadow Triad, and fuck Victini for good measure
