I have my second bad flu of the year (have had a cold too) but still COVID-free. So masking up and the vax is working...but flu shot, less so. I am a medical wonder - BEHOLD.
Life with auto-immune issues:
Me in the a.m.: I feel great! I'll get so much done today.
My body a few hrs later: Ha! Not if I have anything to do with it. I hope you don't have plans tomorrow either, because it's not looking good. But then again, you might be fine.šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
Thunder snow is the only time snow is acceptable to me now. Bring it on. #ONStorm
The fact anyone needs to point out the hypocrisy of Dahm and others like him is so very depressing, but Stewart absolutely nails this idiot. Beautiful.

Jon Stewart: Does training (in order to own a gun) make you safer?

Nathan Dahm: Yes.

Stewart: And you would remove that as mandatory?

Dahm: Yes.

Stewart: So, you are making us less safe.

Dahm: No.

Stewart: Are you familiar with logic?

Dahm: 🫄

You know I love this team but Oof Magoof, this is so incredibly reductive. Can’t wait to be told we’re good around the house too. (Glad they apologized—and why I still love this team. Admit mistakes, do better.)

I would love to see an Iannucci series set in a New York Times newsroom. Just the darkest, dismal stuff.

It’s very possible friends and political allies may find themselves supporting different candidates in this election but let’s be clear that there is no more cynical take than ā€˜holding my candidate to their record is toxic.Ā“ It’s A-level concern-trolling. https://twitter.com/EricDLombardi/status/1631284583676145668

ā€œSeeing a lot of unhinged anti-Bradford takes and frankly, they represent the toxicity of local politics that makes most people want to disengage. Please realize this shit is part of the problem and a huge barrier to many who would consider public service.ā€

Politicians & anti-trans/drag activists say they’re protecting children with these laws but from what? They’re planting the idea that difference = danger so they can push hate-filled agendas that further marginalize LGBTQ+ communities. Support storytime in your local community!
Equating drag storytime with inappropriately sexualized performances says way more about the fear-mongering idiots than it does about anything else. Drag isn’t sexual and it’s not grooming. It’s fun and it’s positive. It promotes acceptance & inclusion.
