I was sharing my experiences I had when traveling, including having complete strangers help me when I needed it most, and a coworker asked "didn't you learn about Stranger Danger?" This has stayed with me - we have become so scared of strangers that we cheat ourselves of some great experiences. Not to mention creating isolation - we are meant to be social creatures.

I've been reading Eisenhower's Chance for Peace speech. It's amazing how relevant these words are right now. And how far our country has shifted in political sentiment.

Rode the Shitty Gritty Alleycat Race yesterday. It was a beautiful day to ride around Tacoma. Enjoyed the company, and even tried the pump track at Wards Lake Park! Unfortunately, had to end the race early due to a flat. The Sagwagon picked me up, and took me back to 2nd Cycle where they fixed my flat for free. So Grateful for the help! #2ndCycle #Grateful #ShittyGritty #Cycling
