We’re looking to buy a place in #Ireland (because renting here is nigh on impossible these days) so I approached a mortgage broker and they just got back to me with this gem:

How bloody lovely.

Todays internet:

Amazon is gamed by sellers hawking sub par crap. It just wants my data.
Twitter is all right wing nuts. It just wants my data.
Google links to SEO crap. It just wants my data.
Reddit admits I’m a “data set”. It just wants my data.
Facebook is where misinformation goes to flourish. It just wants my data.

Code paid by the people should be available to the people!

We want legislation requiring that publicly financed software developed for the public sector be made publicly available under a Free and Open Source Software licence. If it is public money, it should be public code as well.
