found this for $10 at half price books today. so excited to get into it
if anyone was wondering how my long-descender font is going: it has quickly snowballed out of control. send help before i get buried under ten thousand styles

The display style of this WIP has descenders that, with my current metrics, extend past the 1000 unit frame.

I think my options are:
- Let the descenders hang outside of the space.
- Shrink the x-height so that it all fits, but then I'd also have to shrink the text style's x-height, and the whole font would look small compared to other fonts at the same point size.
- Shorten the descenders, and sacrifice one of the defining features of the font.

Would love any advice or other ideas anyone has!

Posthumous is out now! A variable blackletter script with gloopy round corners and lots of OpenType features, this type family has been such a labor of love. I'm so excited to share it with you all!

Posthumous update 2/5:
I'm making the PDF specimen, which means we're very close to release—and the launch of my type foundry, Prologue Type! Coming later this week. Or maybe next week.

happy to report i am still obsessed with my ohno world tour shirt. thanks @Keltroughton for making these happen!!

Posthumous update 1/20/25:
✅ All letters (incl. language support) have been drawn!

Still to do:
[] Kerning for .isol forms
[] Draw some more symbols (mostly currency symbols left)
[] Double check that my OpenType features actually work
[] Double check variable axis for issues
