Dragoneer was hard on himself when he drew Keel and felt his work was not up to snuff. I was just happy he liked Keel enough to draw him when Keel was still new.
Artists place high expectations on themselves without realizing that everyone else enjoys our presence and the work we share, no matter our skill.
I always try to repost fan art, even if they are 5-year-old quality MSPaint doodles. Because it means something when your characters brought joy to someone else who drew it.
Years ago Dragoneer bought me a new PC when mine was dying. He wanted to keep it private. I asked him what I could do in return. He simply said to just keep doing what I was doing. He would visit my streams, commissioned me more than once, and supported both my plush campaigns. Thank you for supporting me 'Neer...

Could only stay at the first hour of @eligecos 's Cloud Keeper meet due to timezones, and I was quiet and shy throughout. I'm really glad I went at all though, because it was such a magical experience being with so many toon dragons, so many lovely people. If I could have stayed all night, I would've done it in a heartbeat.
If there's another meeting, I must remember to get at least one big group pic before I go.
