10th missile
now let's see if I can grab groceries before the 11th missile
according to the "shelter time calculator" I've spent 34 hours and 26 minutes in the bomb shelter since the start of the war
I decided to go out for lunch, and there was an alert the minute I stepped out to the street. 10 minutes later a siren, then 15 minutes in the shelter until the all-clear.
it's so exhausting.
it's the 8th missile of the day and I doubt it'll be the last
seven missiles from Iran this morning and it's not even noon yet
targeting civilians is vile but somehow Iran gets a free pass for that, with zero criticism in international media and with applause and support from gouhls on social media
for the past few weeks I've been maintaining the false hope that my neighbourhood will be relatively safe because there are no military targets or large scale infrastructure around here, so it won't be targeted. but this morning a missile with a 100kg warhead struck just a few streets over.
I'm fine, but the illusion of safety has completely eroded
I should mention that it only caused very minor damage.
Unlike the hits on Dimona and Arad last night which were much much worse. There are videos online of the failed interception and the speed at which the missile hit the ground, taking out entire apartment complexes. Luckily nobody was killed, probably because the missile landed between the buildings, but hundreds were injured
Today in wartime Tel Aviv a cluster munition hit the road next to a popular coffee kiosk in the city center. Less than 15 minutes later, with emergency crews still on the scene, people were queuing for their cappuccinos as if nothing happened
