Translation:
When I talk about climate refugees, everyone imagines
Africans coming to us.
No, we will have to flee.
Did you hear that?
But
A successful escape requires two things:
A place where things are better.
And
A way to get there.
Unfortunately, the climate catastrophe will engulf our entire world and destroy habitats and ecosystems.
So, many of us will try to flee.
What we will actually do is die.
Or we can actively work for a better world and try to prevent the worst disasters.
And perhaps we can also use this opportunity to think about how we are currently treating refugees.

Translation:
Do you know this? People in your circle of friends talk about what they will tell their grandchildren one day? Amazing experiences or how strong they used to be or still are?
Unfortunately, I have some bad news:
If we continue like this and you don't have children yet, you won't be having conversations with your grandchildren.
But there is one person who can still prevent this from happening. One person who can ensure that we can live and talk with our grandchildren in the future. You.

“The climate crisis is so dangerous that ... ”

How would you continue this sentence?

Racism straight from the federal government. War crimes in Palestine, Sudan, Congo. So many issues that are urgent and important. And everyone has a different issue that is most important to them?

The problem is not a single injustice, a single crime. The problem is that we do not respect human rights as a whole. Human rights are an obligation for all of us. Only when we fulfill these fundamental obligations can we discuss opinions within these moral boundaries.

That is why we take to the streets for all human rights. No human right is more important than others. Those who are willing to violate one or prioritize others have not recognized their significance.

Today, I wrote the names of children killed in Palestine on the street. None of these children reached the age of 1.

A total of almost 70,000 deaths have been documented during the current genocide in Palestine. The estimated number of unreported cases is probably about 10 times higher. The genocide continues despite the official ceasefire.

Fascism, genocide, AI disinformation, surveillance, climate catastrophe, tech broligarchy... Another crisis? How many more crises? Or is the real crisis the failure of our political system, which is incapable of dealing with these crises? And instead produces and exacerbates them itself?

How much longer should we appeal to politicians? Or should we start shaping things ourselves?
