If you accidentally share sensitive info in a post, delete it as soon as possible.

Do NOT edit it, because editing leaves the sensitive info visible in the previous versions of the edited post. (The reason previous versions are visible on edited posts is to prevent "bait and switch" abuse tactics from editing.)

If you want to keep most of the post intact when you delete it, select the "Delete & Re-Draft" option. This deletes the post but puts a copy of it into the post creation box.

Re-Reading Becky Chambers and feel *very" different about the whole AI rights tjing than when I first read it because now I find myself thinking lol yeah right we're far more likely to have the opposite problem of people wanting to give human/person rights to the non-sentient probability machines because they sound polite. * Will rewrite said stack 2x as fast, and half as buggy if you let them.

Cons:
* Gives zero fucks.

Jetzt muss ich noch was zur Jungen Uni loswerden.
Sie ist an 11 bis 14-jährige gerichtet, die älteren sind dann oft nur wegen den Freund*innen da und machen auch gerne Blödsinn und sind halt nicht so interessiert.
Eine dieser 14-jährigen hat mich am Dienstag Abend mit der Spiegelreflex gesehen und hat ein paar Fragen dazu gestellt. Und weil sie so interessiert wirkte, hab ich ihr einfach die Kamera hin gehalten und gemeint: "Willst du probieren?"

@ics If a gender dropdown (or radio buttons as on the picture) is useful (which in many situations it isn't), the best options in my opinion would be Male, Female, Other and Prefer Not To Say.

@LunaDragofelis Unless it is a potential (sexual) partner, there is no need for anyone to ask for my gender. And wrt my sex, only a medical professional who needs it for diagnosis/treatment or potential sexual partner with genital preference has the need-to-know.

Ok, friggin' governments insist on it, but then it is M, F, or X (internationally) and M, F, X, or D nationally (Germany)

Edit: oh, dating sites/services - yes, they have a legitimate interest to know your gender/sex 😂😂😂

I was thinking in which situation (except filling out self-id form or maybe apply for a new id card/passport) asking for gender makes any sense.

Most cases they want the know the salutation, not gender.
In most medical settings they want to know if you have specific organs / might be pregnant and so on, not the gender.

As soon as you drop the cis-hetro-normative assumptions, asking for gender nearly always makes no sense.

@doppelgrau @LunaDragofelis It makes sense in romantic relations: especially for people like me: I am mostly trixic and enbian (sex is different, there I am omni) - and even though with some women you might be able to assume correctly, with non-binary people it becomes way more difficult - better to ask.
