Just some woman. Swears a lot. Mostly tired. A Londoner.
Today's random thing which delights me: Krynky. (Which is the name of a Ukrainian village.) Just say it out loud... Krynky!
There has been a cyberattacl on the British Library and I am as calm as the next librarian on here but maybe death by pressing should come back?
Today I learned about Cossack surnames and WOW they run a gamut. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukrainian_surnames#Cossack_names

Do I have anything to say on the unfolding situation in Moscow right now (1.45am GMT)? Simply this -
what the fuck
WHAT THE FUCK
Weird how I'm really reluctant about making contact with people (especially complete strangers for work purposes) and yet feel a lot better about things when the contact is reciprocated. Is this a normal people tihng?
I sure am learning a lot about phosphate today.
Can anyone help, please? My access token's been revoked on the Mastodon mobile app, probably because I reset my password for desktop. I've uninstalled and and reinstalled the app and it makes no difference. @admin, any advice, please?

It's not like the office is completely empty, but with only me in my dept., there is no-one within six metres of me. 😶
I overslept yesterday and decided to work from home. Today, I got up in time and made it into work. No-one else is in my department and *it's free lunch day*.
My head of department just rang up to see how I'm getting on. I mentioned that I'm the only one in the office. Turns out, a few people were in yesterday but one felt ill and went home early. He tested this morning and he's got covid. Everyone else who was in yesterday has stayed home just in case.
