Dr. Randy E. Barnett is the Patrick Hotung Professor of Constitutional Law at Georgetown Law Center, teaching constitutional law and contracts, and directing the Georgetown Center for the Constitution. He graduated from Northwestern University and Harvard Law School and worked as a prosecutor in Chicago. A Guggenheim Fellow, he has taught as a visiting professor at several law schools. Barnett has published twelve books and over a hundred articles, argued Gonzalez v. Raich in 2004, and represented the National Federation of Independent Business against the Affordable Care Act in 2012. He also appeared on PBS’s Constitution USA and in the film InAlienable (2010).
