It works beyond Drupal, but that's how I am using it. In my experimentations I created several contribs with it:

SDC display just got over the 1000 installs reported on #Drupal.org. If you don't know it, it's a simpler way (compared to Drupal Canvas) to use your Single-Directory Components using the site builder UI.
