@pluralistic My favorite factoid is that those buttons are generally not even wired to anything, or if they are, they don't function unless the fire dept key is turned.

@arstechnica As always when I see things like this, I'm always left with "why bother" - this is effectively the same as not doing anything, so why do we need a tool to do something so unimportant we don't do it ourself?

@arstechnica because they're out of the price range of most US buyers...
