If you search for "hacking catastrophe", I'm the number one result. Breach survivor, cyber leader, dog owner, sports fan.
@0xdaeda1a we have some open roles for cyber risk managers in Capital One and it's an amazing place to work. I'm not the hiring manager, but can answer questions about the place or the wider cyber function.
@koalafiedhacker pretty sure we've worked with https://www.kaneprinting.com/ on smaller swag orders before - and would very much recommend them

@malwaretech I'm the first Google image result for the search term "hacking catastrophe". It's a good ice breaker.
@dannyjpalmer there are more people openly wielding crowbars in Croydon?

@dannyjpalmer it's even worse when you work and live outside of London :) I've lived in Nottingham for the last twenty years, and it's frustrating to see the proportion of vendor events and conferences who never seem to leave the confines of the m25.

Still - there are some good, big companies with large UK cyber presence and it's a growing market. I'd be happy to chat, if it would help.

@dannyjpalmer for what it's worth, there's a decent proportion of people in cyber teams who have the same "not technical enough" imposter syndrome - there's a large number of people who advance in cyber because they know what questions to ask in order to understand "enough" to make an informed decision, rather than understanding everything in depth.

I guess the main answer to the "what next" question is what do you want to do next?

Is going out of reporting and into a cyber team, perhaps in a communications/culture/storytelling role, something you're interested in?

@JBH It feels like there should be a higher bar for who gets to do that.

And here's the expression on my son's face when he first saw the dog we'd been telling him about for a few weeks. Pure magic and love. #doglove #toddler #dogsofmastodon
