@hotdogsladies It’s only temporary, unless it works.
@hotdogsladies looking forward to this. Related, not looking to give anyone homework, but I enjoyed Myke’s recent discussion with Alec. https://overcast.fm/+AAE7b7FNZiQ
175: Technology Connections – State of the Workflow — Cortex

Myke talks to Alec from Technology Connections about how he turns everyday tech into compelling videos, from topic selection and deep research to scripting, hands-on experimentation, filming, and editing entirely on his own.

@hotdogsladies thanks for the flashbulb memory of setting up my university account* in the fall of 2001 and being introduced to Pine.

*That handle persists today ⬆️, and would have been jdugan were it not for a football player that was already enrolled at the time.

@chrishuck Do you have a pressure testing rig you could put this in? I think 0 PSI is a little conservative, it’s got to be good for a couple inches of water.
@pvanb @mathowie @overholt I was also going to mention Frank. I think he’s generally west of Portland if I recall. Has some cool vintage machines but CNC/modern techniques too.
@hotdogsladies shakin’ the tree boss, shakin’ the tree.
@hotdogsladies 🫡. Some extrapolated “super-viewer” estimates.
@hotdogsladies I was in a Walmart today (I don’t want to talk about it) and Radio Ga Ga was playing on the PA. All I could think about was Bob Mortimer and the egg. I think it could work in lieu of A Kind of Magic in a pinch. #snaptogrid
@hotdogsladies yes, a thousand times yes. Taskmaster was my playing on the iPad while feeding a newborn show. It’s very special. Also, why have Richard Ayoyade and Rob Beckett (scratch that, he has) not been on yet, and let’s throw in David Mitchell and Robert Webb while we’re at it.

@drdrang @darshanpala no so much historical, but I came across “IF IN DOUBT, ASK” on some fabrication drawings from the UK.

A nice little nugget of wisdom tucked into a weld map.
