6/ On a personal note, I learned this parsha in-depth last year as part of a town siyum in memory of Efraim Jackman zโl, who fell fighting in Gaza. May his memory continue to inspire. Shabbat Shalom.

Clouded Torah
Clouded Torah, where I share my thoughts on the weekly Parsha in relation to The Cloud, Technology, Computers, etc.
5/ So in the desert we needed to take the holiness of Har Sinai with us in the Mishkan, today, we leave the cloud resources where they are, but are able to connect with them from anywhere and everywhere. Use your resources wisely.
4/ With technologies like Mesh VPN (I LOVE Tailscale), connectivity to any resource no matter where it is becomes just a matter of allowing the connections.
3/ What is intersting, when I used to run data centers, they were fixed and the connectivity to and from them was severly limited. Now, however, with the cloud, I can use tools and APIs at home, over 4G/5G, on my phone, tablet, laptop to connect to the cloud.
2/ This was important because Har Sinai is not supposed to have any significance of itself, only that is where G-d spoke to the Bnei Yisrael. And that is also why Har Sinai is hidden, we donโt know where it is. (There are theories that itโs in Saudi Arabia).
1/ Chevre, this weekโs parsha is Terumah (ืชืจืืื). This parsha starts a series of parshiot about the architecture, building and utensils of the Mishkan. Nechema Leibowitz has a theory and discussion about the Mishkan being a portable Har Sinai.
#Shabbat #DvarTorah6/ Finally, as I write this today, we learned that Shiri Bibasesโ body was not released yesterday as expected. Our hearts are with the Yarden and the rest of the Bibas family. And with all Am Yisrael. Together, we are strong.
Shabbat Shalom.

5/ How do we take what was built, improve it or work around some of itsโ sharp edges to make it work for us.
Itโs an interesting adventure in both the Torah and tech worlds.
4/ In the Torah world, we have the written law, the Torah itself and we have the oral law. The Mishnah, Talmud and 2000 years of Rabbis interpretting the rules and laws and how they apply to various situations that have come up. We are now writing the oral law of the cloud.
3/ This is the minimum required for launch. And then afterwards the service can be adjusted, fixed, updated. We know from years of presentations that S3 has been completely rebuilt since itโs initial launch, while still running and serving customers.
