Dropped by West Side Books in the Denver Highlands today to sign stock. It's one of those cool stores that seems bigger on the inside, carrying used and new volumes stacked on of wooden shelves, and full of niches and corners to explore. Check them out if you're up that way. #Denver
Yesterday I got a stern talking to for sleeping in. Today I was up early to keep writing and Odin was waiting for me on the porch. He always comes alone then calls the murder once I deploy some peanuts. He caws and I sing Orpheus's refrain from Hadestown to call them. #AmWriting
N7 Day had me missing Mass Effect and I have a long work day so I'm starting over on Tanya Huff's Valor series on audio. Great Military Sci Fi with complex politics. Think DnD in space. I'm also really pleased with the progression sexual politics in a book published in 2000.
There's coffee. Who wants coffee? I want coffee. Coffee. Am I being too loud? #n7day
No spoilers, but I can't get over last night's Star Trek: Discovery. It was a perfect mid season finale: book ended the opening episodes, let Michael move past her losses and reclaim her strength, as well as setting the stage for the next round.
I also think they've done a great job moving from focusing just on Michael's journey to more of an ensemble approach, continuing the "Star Trek Values in a Time of War" theme while also feeling more and more like classic Trek.
500 Characters? I'm drunk with power here.
