I'm an IT/sci-fi/gaming geek, husband, and father. I'm also a retired Mortal Kombat community figure.

It really, REALLY irks me that the node AVALON mission in Destiny 2 is harder and more of a slog in Normal difficulty than Seraph’s Shield was in Legend difficulty.

It doesn’t help that I had to abandon my most recent attempt because the second boss battle bugged and would not allow me to pick up needed tokens to get past the first timed section of the fight.

A quick exchange earlier on the official Mortal Kombat 11 Discord:

“For you kids of the 80’s, I look at MK3 Shang Tsung and see Garthe Knight… aka, evil David Hasselhoff.”
“Now I can’t unsee this. Thanks.”

I wish there was a way in iOS to just temporarily disable individual Bluetooth devices. There’s been several times where I would like my phone to not connect to a specific device without removing the device entirely or turning off Bluetooth.
@KitMuse @actuallyautistic @disability I get so caught up in trying to figure out the minor minutiae of how things would operate and make them “realistic” that I basically miss the forest for the trees.

I'm working through my book backlog, and I'm now about two thirds of the way through Ernest Cline's Armada.

Not gonna lie, I've been digging it. It's nowhere near as bad as people have been making it out to be, IMHO.

Hot take:

Chris Chibnall was definitely the weakest of the three new Doctor Who showrunners, with Steven Moffat being the strongest.

That said, the one thing Chibnall was absolutely better than Moffat at was how he handled the Daleks and Sontarans.

@dolari I'm not gonna lie, if there's one thing Chibnall did that was absolutely better than Moffat, it was how he handled the Daleks and Sontarans.
@dolari I still hold that the entire purpose of “Dalek” was to prove to everyone why the Daleks were so feared in-universe, and give a middle finger (sucker?) to all of the jokes made about them.

It looks like WotC has completely changed their minds and are keeping the OGL as is.

D&D won’t change the OGL: Hasbro and Wizards capitulate to angry fans

The Dungeons & Dragons Open Gaming License won’t be changed. Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro say they’re making D&D more open than ever before.

Gamer confession: I've never played the original Halo all the way through.

After seeing a Fireteam Raven cabinet at Main Event this past weekend, I bit the bullet and purchased the Master Chief Collection. I'm going to FINALLY get through the first Halo.
