Last weekend we suddenly lost our Melba. I suppose I’m grateful that she passed quickly, but she was our first and I often joked that we were old ladies together. 💔😭

Hey y’all. I made a thing. I haven’t sewed anything so complicated in my entire life (or at all since NJ was born). It’s not perfect, but NJ seems happy with it.

Checked out #Illumination at the Morton Arboretum last night. It was COLD but the large fire pits kept people warm. It was a beautiful ~1 mi stroll through the light displays.

Got my eggnog in my holiday glass, Home Alone 2, and a gingerbread/molasses cookie. Happy Christmas Eve to those who celebrate!

Y’all. It’s going to be a white (and cold!) Christmas. Good thing we aren’t going anywhere!

We finally got to go on our CA vacation (cancelled in Oct due to RSV). It was NJs first encounter with the ocean. I think she’ll remember it for a long time.

Colligative properties in action on the last day of #pchemlab ! Students had to use the binary phase diagram and calculate how much salt and ice to use to get to the eutectic temperature. We got some good results this time! #chemed

The frost only stayed in the shade this morning.
