Red Dead Online thoughts:

The longer you take to complete a mission, whether it’s free roam or within your specialty (Bounty Hunting, for instance), the better your rewards.

So you can finish a bounty in 6 minutes, then idle for 6 more minutes doing NOTHING, and you get more.

That’s DUMB.

Current gaming fixation: Red Dead Redemption 2. Essentially replaying it, because my original save is stuck on my PS4.

Playing Red Dead Online for those achievements first. Chose Bounty Hunter as my first specialty. Went out to get a bounty today, and as I was taking out the bounty’s friends, a grizzly bear invaded the camp. I put down the bear so it didn’t put down my target, but the dead bear landed on my bounty target, killing it.

Even after all these years, video games can still surprise me.

Hello, fedi friends, it’s been a while.

Gaming update for me: I got a bunch of new games to play as a result of the holiday season Playstation sale. I ended up getting seven (7) titles: Cyberpunk 2077, Dragon Age Veilguard, Baldur’s Gate 3, Octopath Traveler 2, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, and Star Wars Outlaws.

I’ve already played Cyberpunk 2077 to the platinum trophy. Wild, fascinating game in a truly dystopian future that make me cringe, laugh, and cry in equal parts.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is next. I’m two chapters in. I played Origins to completion back in the day but could never make much progress in Inquisition. Love the orchestral musical soundtrack…especially after Cyberpunk.

Me, to Nintendo: I would like to convert what had been a basic family Switch Online subscription into a higher tier solo Switch Online subscription, to give you more money and get me more stuff while canceling the stuff that isn’t used anymore.

Nintendo: wat no we can’t do that
