I see my enjoying Mastodon will be a process that will take a while. I need to find the right people to follow and it will be a one at a time kind of thing. After a few days away I am struck at how preachy the #Explore posts are. Perhaps it is the hive mind of the folks who were first to leave Twitter - I dunno. I will not be doing much exploring for a while in any event. Are the posts the appear under #Explore chosen by humans or do basically all posts appear there?

I also have a problem with Mastodon driving posters like Stonekettle away. I initially wasn't sure of the idea of a bazillion admins all running their instances the way they see fit and the solution of "just find another instance where you fit better" is quite frankly not a solution.
