Mid 30's queer here. Nonbinary and bisexual.

I enjoy playing Pokemon romhacks on my gamedad. Big fan of horror media, we watch so many horror movies in our house.

I enjoy crafting text adventure websites and managing my Linux systems in my homelab.

I really hate the chore of shaving. It's bullshit that I have to do it so often XD.

I need to start documenting my homelab! Might as well start now.

I've got server1 running yunohost with 10tb of storage. She's my main machine. Serves the family with jellyfin to watch media. I also recently put the *arr stack on this server to manage the media.

I've also got a soon to be running server2 that will have an additional 16tb of storage with FreeBSD for the os.

There's also my laptop running Debian that I use to manage my machines.

And that's my homelab setup I think. I have more hardware but this is what runs regularly.

I was a dummy and forgot to order screws to mount my hard drives! So now it'll be even longer before I can get this project off the ground. I also need to dig out my old ssd drives for a boot drive.
Pancakes for breakfast!
tmux and midnight commander for multiple file copies at a time! like a sane person I am I promise.

I'm going to be setting up 16 drives in a raid array. Whats my best bet for this for my home lab NAS? Hardware based vs software based raid array? Whats a good os for NAS machines? FreeBSD does nice things with zfs storage doesn't it?

I'm working on an adventure map set in Jupiter's Ghost and I've been stuck on deciding how big the spaceships that the player gets to explore should be. Are these tiny one person ships that don't take up much space, or big elaborate ones that house entire communities? I think they are more often small. perhaps some familial groups as well.
I've been using MATE as my desktop for a few weeks and I have to say I like it a lot. I spent a lot of time with Gnome2 so this really feels like home. It's almost nostalgic to have the static four virtual desktops.
I really like https://phanpy.social as a mastadon client because the way it groups boosts I can just easily scroll past them. Boosts are not my favorite thing about timelines.

The first of my video reviews of public domain films has gone live just now. I had a lot of fun making this, definitely looking forward to making more!

This first review is about 1928's The Man Who Laughs, which features possibly the single most influential screen makeup job in the history of the artform.

Thank you to @ajroach42 for his patience and support, along with the rest of my wonderful NETV/CBN colleagues! Also big shoutout to @betkabot for her part in keeping me motivated!

Boosts very much appreciated!
