To be fair it’s only been Ted and his complaint comes from a complete misunderstanding of the tech he’s complaining about. Government leaders ranting about topics they are ignorant of seems to be a life long struggle. I especially love the irony of a “small government” guy being angry about a company giving consumers more choices.

I prefer the round about way. Pay taxes to government. Use corporate products and OS with tracking and telemetry. The government then takes my tax dollars and buys my data from the company.
