Yesterday, I decided to take down my F-Droid article. Seeing my article being misinterpreted to attack other projects and myself is not something I even remotely desired. I also suffer from health issues, so this is an anxiety source I won't have to carry on my shoulders.
Make no mistake: I still firmly believe the presented issues are useful public information that can be used to improve the Android FOSS ecosystem, not discredit it. Anyone saying otherwise is wrong, but I don't care anymore.
My presence in privacy & security related communities will also be diminished. I am strongly disappointed by the number of malicious actors in that space. I've witnessed insults and harassment towards many security researchers.
Personally, all I care about are the technicalities of each solution. I'm done dealing with trolls and childish ad hominem attacks. We deserve better than this.
Looks like PrivacyTools services (Mastodon, Matrix, Peertube etc) are going to be down earlier than expected.
