@cwebber Caveat that had a different party won the federal election, the situation would look very different. We are only ever an election away from having our rights stripped away from us.
On the provincial level, several provinces are growing very trans-hostile, and since healthcare, education, drivers' licences, etc., are provincial affairs, it has the potential to significantly impact trans people's lives.

In light of the TTC's POO Patrols - for real, our governance at its finest: https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/no-laughing-matter-ttcs-fiery-response-to-online-posts-poking-fun-at-acronym-for-provincial/article_93d08cba-a9a1-4c42-87e3-7d5e0e25dd6d.html - I ask that we treat parking violations as seriously as we treat fare violations.
Evading a $3.25 fare results in a fine of $425: a factor of about 130x. If we applied the same logic to the daily maximum rates for parking, the cost of a parking ticket in the Distillery District would be $4550, with the added benefit that the people incurring that price demonstrably have an asset worth that much.
