Ham radio operator since April 2023. Old callsign DO3MOS was replaced by new callsign DL7MO in May 2025. Please see https://mastodon.radio/@do3mos for past posts.
Made the required #hamradio QSOs for the YL-WWA 2026 (Bronze level) with my Xiegu G90 last week, and downloaded the #hamaward today. #Amateurfunk
My last two #hamradio QSOs yesterday were in FT8, so here’s a small picture of my digimode setup. The DIY digimode adapter sends the TX audio to the Xiegu G90’s ACC port, but it receives the RX audio from the G90’s headphone jack instead (from ACC does not work). #Amateurfunk
@alexmdunne I love the G90, its features (e.g. tuner, waterfall, portability) and the price. Digital modes work good, but for phone some more power would be nice.
@alexmdunne It is a temporary setup - there is a tree in my backyard which I can use to pull up an EFHW antenna for 10m - 80m. Then I place my G90 and an Eremit LiFePo on the table and connect it to the EFHW.
Just worked the DXpedition J51A in Guinea-Bissau 🇬🇼 with my Xiegu G90 on the 15m #hamradio band. My first successful operation in split mode, very interesting. 🤗 #Amateurfunk
Heard about the digital #hamradio bulletin of @C from @dd0ul and tried to receive it in JO62 today. Forwarded the audio of my #OpenWebRX into #fldigi and successfully decoded the MFSK-32 signal. #Amateurfunk
I made the first version of this #hamradio cheat sheet in LibreOffice Impress, but now converted it into AsciiDoc and placed it in https://github.com/dl7mo-ham/hamradio-cheat-sheets

During my last #hamradio summit activations I missed points due to remembering some rules incorrectly. To prevent this, I have created a small cheat sheet for my favorite #Amateurfunk activities #SOTA, #GMA, #SBW and #POTA.
@berggorilla Yes, it is running the whole year, info can be found at http://www.dl2lto.de/. The funny thing is that in Saxonia a number of people is listening every day on the mountain frequencies of 2m and 70cm. So if you activate a summit during daytime, chance is high that someone will answer to your CQ.

Along with that, I also received the #hamradio award for last year's Sächsischer Bergwettbewerb #SBW two days ago. Curious how many points I'll manage to collect this year. #Amateurfunk
