About Urusei Yatsura TV Series Part 2 Blu-RayUrusei Yatsura TV Series Part 2 contains episodes 55-106 of the 1981 anime directed by Mamoru Oshii. SORRY DARLING, BUT THIS DANCING STAR WON’T BE STOPPING ANY TIME SOON! THE CLASSIC ROMANTIC COMEDY SERIES CONTINUES WITH 52 MORE EPISODES! Those centuries-old curses are still a problem though. As for “earth’s savior” himself, Ataru is still skirt-chasing as always—even after a few thousand love-zaps from Lum. Despite hitting on all of her friends, Ataru might be starting to see Lum as more than just a high-voltage thorn in his side. Studio Pierrot (Kimagure Orange Road, Ninja Robot Tobikage) & Director Mamoru Oshii’s (Ghost in the Shell, Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer) run on Urusei Yatsura concludes with a mischievous cavalcade of tomfoolery, hearty laughs, and tender moments to remember! The electrifying romantic comedy that defined a generation returns to Blu-ray in this four disc collection containing episodes 55 through 106! Urusei Yatsura— Keeping Tomobiki Town Weird Since 1978!

The remaster continues to be quite gorgeous for the series.

The subs are once again based on the classic AnimEigo subs, with a nice bit of polish.

A few screenshot examples of the remaster for these episodes.

A bit of fun...

When we did the dub release, a few people were confused by the disc labels & menus only including 4 kids & Digimon, when Digimon Adventure has 8.

The other 4 were saved for this set!

RT @discotekmedia
And a few more extras:
Ending Cards- Image cards used when episodes ended in their initial broadcast
Promos
Galleries- The same galleries as in the dub release for those who don't have that set.
RT @discotekmedia
Digimon Adventure has a small, but nice, selection of extras:
Clean Opening
Clean Endings
Next Episode Previews- A selection of alternate previews that were only used when the show 1st aired, involving contests, new products, etc.

RT @discotekmedia
Title screens also look pretty good.

On top of that, we know Digimon fans love their insert songs, so those are all subbed (minus a few lines here and there that might clash with analyzer screens.)

RT @discotekmedia
The entire series has really nice subtitles.

The analyzer screens were interesting, because due to the layout, it would have killed the subtitle buffer, but we came up with a nice solution that shows off all the information.

Composite noise, dot crawl, & other video issues are heavily removed (or often gone). It's an amazing new way to experience the show.

Everything we said regarding the dub release is true, but even moreso.

If you missed what we said when that came out- https://twitter.com/discotekmedia/status/1607831695025373184
