Not as productive of a day yesterday as I would have liked, but there is now paint on all the #DeathGuard I'm taking to the tournament next week. Nor to get these battle ready.
Today I learned that even though #HorusHeresy has Deathshroud terminators and #warhammer40k has Deathshroud terminators, and both terminators go on 40mm bases, that does not mean they are a similar size. #DeathGuard
Today at work was crap, and tomorrow's going to be crap too, so I spent the evening building some proxy grave guard I had someone print for me. They're a little bigger and better armed/armored than the standard skeleton minis from GW. #Skeletons #Undead #SBGL

Text 1: Asphalt texture paste
Goal: rough texture, dark color that could be dry brushed into dark blue, then with a blue-gray. Kind of an alien or ashen landscape. Then the cork painted a lighter gray-blue.
Result: way too smooth, there's basically no texture there to catch with a drybrush

Oh great and wise #WarhammerCommunity #Warhammer #Stormcast #AgeOfSigmar I come to you for advice. What should I do for basing my Stormcast? Green and gold for the primary colors, with khaki and blue clothing.
My original idea had been to do a kind of ancient ruin, mostly dirt, but with occasional stones that had once been the floor of buildings, some of them cracked. But, I'm not sure I can pull that off realistically.

I'm not a good painter, but I am pretty pleased with how this Deathshroud Terminator turned out.
Shame I never run him because I don't like using Deathshrouds.
