without their DMCA maximalism we wouldn't have so many tools and skills for ripping videos and rehosting them to escape content bans

@Rose_On_Mars z/OS I would say would definitely fit the bill, although arguably it didn’t “diverge” from office computing depending on what is meant by “office computing” (it was never intended to e.g. run personal desktop office software.) The *nixes would maybe sorta count, except that like tons of mobile devices run on what’s basically Linux and macOS is just FreeBSD with an Apple sticker. I mean I’m pretty sure there’s still stuff out there running on like VMS

@HenryH8sCops Heck yeah! Thanks! :-) I was worried I was gonna be sick for Thanksgiving or something (esp. cause I live in a co-op and all), it seems like even a cold typically takes about a week to resolve? Just kinda weird is all, wondered if it must be something else or something haha

Can you even have a cold for like three days? I had a scratchy nose/throat on Thursday and went to bed when I got home from work and kinda just stayed in bed over the weekend and was tired and a snot factory and pretty much felt fine today except a tiny bit of a cough today from like post-nasal drip. Negative COVID test and so on
