It’s common practice - actually a legal requirement in Telco - to have a person or persons that are in-part or fully funded by the Government for the purposes of liaising with LEA’s (FBI, NCA, Police etc).
These individuals perform a range of essential activities including ensuring information is available to blue light services in “Life At Risk” cases. Without breaking the law on here I can say the people involved SAVE LIVES.
Understandably Social Media with its far reaching impact is as important as the carriers themselves in a lot of cases, thus requires similar liaison.
