@jwz It's a shame for sure, but at least all of the aluminum should be easily recyclable?
@verge Really earning that 30% commission!
@jasonkoebler I don't understand what the problem is, they still "own" the hyperlink that exists on the blockchain to these non-existent jpegs, right? lol
@notjustbikes @ticho Although I guess if you were to reframe the winter conditions under the context of another activity like skiing, you'd get the oddest looks if you said "You ski in CANADA? In the WINTER? Are you insane?" So I guess at it's core it must purely just be an admission that the infrastructure is often bad.
@notjustbikes @ticho The GTA just had it's worst winter in probably decades and not a single day's -20C or dumping of snow prevented me from going for a 10K run. Coworkers and neighbours think I'm crazy, I think I own a few jackets and vests and base-layers. Our sports fans love to claim "We the North" though.
@parismarx I'm judging you based on your enemies. 🙃
@notjustbikes Just had a thought. Self-driving car software like Tesla's recognize speed limit signs via the car's camera array and adjust their speeds accordingly (+10 KM/H because hey laws are just a suggestion, right?). As autonomous cars become common what if cyclists started wearing jackets with a 20 KM/H speed limit sign printed on the backside? Alternatively print a large orange construction cone on the back since a car is unlikely to give a cyclist space but they are scared of cones.
@Hey_Beth @w7voa a negative Scaramucci
@davidgerard if that’s the case, maybe I’m the next Amazon?
@notjustbikes I thought you might get some enjoyment out of this one. Everything is *chef's kiss*. According to the road builder's association, the GTA is not building enough roads and doesn't have enough political will to build the roads needed. Also since one-more-lane bro has met its natural conclusion on the 401, there is no alternative but to build more roads over or under. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Xd_KHhb6o8
