Reform UK has also criticised the Tories for their comment about Suella Braverman’s mental health. A Reform source said: "It goes without saying that she has never been diagnosd with a mental health condition."

Proving only that the NHS is broken

@bsag I was sad to read this, been following your blog since what feels like the beginning of the internet - glad to see you're still kicking, albeit with a hopefully temporary reduction in ferocity.
@scaramanga I miss you man :(
@drmambobob Sally Mann dined out on that for yeaaaars! :D

Know what would destroy the Roberts Court faster than anything? A Judges' Revolt.

If I were a federal judge, I'd decline to honor any of the controversial Roberts Court decisions. I'd openly say, "that decision is not good law because the Court as currently constituted is corrupt and illegitimate, and to follow its decrees would be to violate my oath to the Constitution."

Impeach me. Do it. See if you can get the Senate votes. Otherwise, I'm appointed for life. Now imagine if dozens of federal judges, trial and appellate, did the same thing.

Yes, I am a lawyer. Yes, I am serious.

Trump ran by far the most corrupt presidency in American history. He -- and the people he appointed to federal jobs -- used their offices to enrich themselves and their corrupt friends, and abused their powers in countless ways.

(Our feckless press never even tried to explain how broad and deep the corruption ran.)

Now, with immunity, it's almost unimaginable what a new Trump world in Washington (and beyond) would do.

Imagine the absolute worst, and expand on that. You'll be close.

@drmambobob the spots that really get me are the ones on radio discussing "Why does Farage get so much coverage?"... Could it be because you're covering him? Brexit was a consequence of this absurd click-harvesting 'journalism' and so too will be any successes on behalf of the reform party :/
Yay! I've made it onto Wikipedia! I'm a real palaeontologist now

There are some conversations I'm just too old for, and "social spending doesn't solve problems" is one of them. I've literally watched education, health care, housing, local news, and public transit be systemically defunded, dismantled, and neglected for most of my almost 47 years of life. *My* classrooms ballooned from 20 kids to 30, *my* band class, french immersion, enrichment programs were disrupted by cost-cutting measures, *my* tuition was 4x the tuition of students just 5 years older than me, lower-middle class kids of *my* generation and later are the ones working two or three precarious jobs (if we aren't already disabled by toxic workplaces) for half as much on a slow-cooking planet, watching the price of even the dilapidated shacks always shift just out of our reach while billionaires take pleasure cruises to outer space.

I am NOT a person to take "social spending doesn't do anything" when I saw just how much social cost-cutting fucking destroyed dreams for two-going-on-three generations, lol.

@drmambobob presumably so that they could place the blame/failure in the hands of the pubic so in future elections they'd not be burdened by it. (That's my cynical take, anyway). The sickest part of Brexit was the referendum was merely advisory and is still to this day being cited as the once and permanent will of the entire British people. Awful. Just awful.
