"To those who have preceded me in the study of the posthistoric world, and.. permitted me to examine artifacts surviving so many centuries of futurity, and most especially to those who have allowed me to visit and photograph the era’s few extant buildings, I am truly grateful." #GeneWolfe
Beeeees!!
Woot! Super pleased to find my author copy of Our Dust Earth in today's mail! Nice to see my story House Brilliant out there in print, and looking forward to reading the rest of the stories in the collection.
The sound of a flowering cherry tree filled with a slew of finches! They are mostly Pine Siskins, but if your ears are good (i.e. better than mine) you might be able to detect American Goldfinch, Lesser Goldfinch, or House Finch, all of which were also present moving among the flittering mob. #Birding
This very noisy Red-shouldered Hawk perched close enough for me to get a nice view this morning at Greenway Park. Always a pleasure to see one of these fellows!

This flock of Lesser Goldfinches is Hungry and is Not Moving. Pedestrian five feet away? We're having lunch, walk on by dude! #Birding
Saw this little muskrat at Commonwealth Lake Park, adorably perched at the water's edge.
