If you see someone doing something bad, call them out.

It doesn't have to be publicly, but it can be.

If you see someone who is working to fix a problem and hasn't fallen back into the same problem for a long time, don't call them out for the problem.

If you blame someone for a problem they are actively working to fix, you are the problem.
