Not sure how could post this without including a picture of a cat, so here’s my furry little monster, Leroy.

Here's the backstory on why the Boston area storms drains have cast-iron signs that are illustrated with fish specific to the waterway they drain to. Thank you, Elisa Speranza of the Boston Water and Sewage Commission, they're so great!

The "Don't Dump" plaques across Boston has its roots in Dorchester. Former resident Elisa Speranza came up with the idea some 30 years ago to draw the connection between people and the surrounding waterways.

I don’t think ‘best’ is really meaningful in this context, but I’m grateful for the strong signal that the ideas in the book are landing with readers. And I really appreciate Publisher’s Weekly deciding to spotlight HOW INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS and for this great summary:

“In a deceptively easygoing style, Chachra constructs a complex treatise on the fundamental necessity of infrastructure to human flourishing.”

And also omg there’s the cover in the banner graphic! 🤩
